This year, for National Volunteer Week (NVW), which runs this year from April 20-26, we'd like to recognize some of the hands - and even paws - that use their special gifts and talents to help us carry out our mission to improve lives and build a stronger community.

This University City Regional branch closes for the final time on February 1 at 5:00 PM. The new University City Regional branch is located at 5528 Waters Edge Village Drive Charlotte, NC. The Grand Opening will be on February 8 from 9:30am to 4:00pm.

The new Sugar Creek Library will double in size and is planned to be located near the Ella B Scarborough Community Resource Center.

Donated in December 2024 by the Wing Haven Foundation, this collection documents the history of one of Charlotte’s most exceptional hidden gems—Wing Haven Garden and Bird Sanctuary.
