Homework Help

 

 

Charlotte Mecklenburg Library provides weekly homework help at all library locations! Trained volunteers utilize a pop up learning space filled with learning resources and manipulatives to help your child in one of these three ways:

Library volunteers are available one afternoon a week for two hours at all Library locations to help students complete assignments, practice a skill, or connect to Library resources. Student support is available on a first come, first served basis depending on volunteer availability; no registration is required.

Note: While our homework help program is intended for student support, it is not a tutoring service. Volunteers provide help and guidance to the best of their ability, but are not certified teachers. Volunteers do not complete assignments for students.

  • Allegra Westbrooks Regional Library: Tuesdays 5:00-7:00 p.m.

  • Cornelius Library: Thursdays 4:00-6:00 p.m. 

  • Davidson Library: Wednesdays 4:00-6:00 p.m. 

  • Hickory Grove Library: Wednesdays 4:30-6:30 p.m.  

  • Independence Regional Library: Tuesdays 4:00-6:00 p.m. 

  • ImaginOn: The Joe and Joan Martin Center: Sundays 2:00-4:00 p.m. 

  • Mint Hill Library: Thursdays 5:00-6:30 p.m. 

  • Myers Park Library: Wednesdays 5:00-6:00 p.m.  

  • Matthews Library: Saturdays 10:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. 

  • Mountain Island Library: Saturdays 2:00-4:00 p.m.  

  • North County Regional Library: Tuesdays 4:00-6:00 p.m. 

  • Pineville Library: Wednesdays 5:00-6:30 p.m.

  • Plaza Midwood Library: Undergoing renovations Spring 2025

  • South Boulevard Library: Mondays 4:30-6:30 p.m.  

  • South County Regional Library: Mondays 4:30-6:30 p.m. 

  • South Park Regional Library: Mondays 4:00-6:00 p.m. 

  • Steele Creek Library: Tuesdays 5:30-7:00 p.m. 

  • Sugar Creek Library: Saturdays 10:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. 

  • University City Regional Library: Mondays 4:00-5:00 p.m. 

  • West Boulevard Library: Tuesdays & Thursdays 4:00-6:00 p.m. 

 

Note: Days and times subject to change due to volunteer availability. Please check with your branch for more details.  Student Success Centers will not be open when the Library is closed, or on CMS Teacher Workdays.
