If you live in Mecklenburg County, please fill out the resident application. Applicants outside of the County will be issued a non-resident account for a fee annually.

This is an ecard account (instant access to all of Charlotte Mecklenburg Library's online resources) until you have paid your non-resident fee. You have 3 days to pay the fee. If the fee is not paid, then your account will be deleted.

After your fee has been paid, you will have a full-service account that can be used to access all digital materials and resources, to place holds and check out physical items from any branch.
