Celebrate the opening of "Signs of Plaza Midwood," a new permanent exhibit at Plaza Midwood Library, featuring the old Penguin sign, historic photographs and signs from neighborhood businesses. Monica Brown is the Branch Manager at Steele Creek. She has been with CML for nine years with six of those coming at Steele Creek. Her favorite thing about working at the Library is being part of her community and helping others in technology, education or finding new adventures in a great book. Monica’s favorite books are anything by Carol Goodman and her favorite hobby is being outdoors in the woods or mountains.
Amanda Corbett is the Branch Manager at North County. She is coming up on four years with CML, all of those being at North County. Her favorite parts about working at the Library are helping customers and feeling supported in her work. Amanda loves a cozy mystery book and has too many favorite authors and series to narrow down to just one. She grew up working on her family’s farm on the coast of North Carolina. Amanda is married and has four cats: Gracie, Lucy, Lillie-Rose and Daisy.
