The Plaza Midwood Library is located on the corner of The Plaza and Central Avenue. We are proud to be a part of the rebirth of this popular neighborhood and business district. This 8,000 sq. ft. branch serves a diverse population that makes for a lively and interesting atmosphere.
South Boulevard Library is located on South Boulevard, just 0.60 miles from the Lynx Blue Line Scaleybark Station. Originally opened in 1985 as the Scaleybark Library, this location is a 18,850-square foot building and a convenient location for the many customers in this growing area along South Boulevard.
The Steele Creek Branch Library serves the fast-growing communities in Southwestern Mecklenburg County. This 15,000 sq. ft. branch library is located off Highway 49 on Highway 160 in front of the Southwest Middle School.
The Sugar Creek Library is located inside the Sugar Creek Service Center on N. Tryon Street, just south of the Sugar Creek Road intersection. The 9,300 sq. ft. branch building, a venture between the city of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County, houses the library and David 3 District Police Office.
The West Boulevard Library is known throughout the community for its commitment to quality programming and service. With more than 12,500 sq. ft., West Boulevard Branch Library and Learning Resources Center has significantly increased in size of the small facility it replaced.
