      Enciclopedia Estudiantil Hallazgos es la herramienta de referencia en español para principiantes. Busque por palabra clave o busque artículos. Periódicos del Mundo Hispánico presenta enlaces web a periódicos de países de habla hispana en todo el mundo.       Enciclopedia Estudiantil Hallazgos is the beginner's Spanish language reference tool.  Search by keyword or browse for articles.  Every article provides a bilingual feature which allows you to switch between Spanish and English content.  Periodicos del Mundo Hispanico features web links to newspapers from Spanish-speaking countries around the world.  The Diccionario Visual (or Visual Dictionary) helps you clarify word meanings and grasp complex visual topics in Spanish and English.  Mundo de Animales (World of Animals) lets you compare animals side by side and view an extensive collection of animal facts, videos, images, and web links.

      Essays that provide a deeper understanding of how current issues stem from actions and policies of the past.

      Designed for high school and undergraduate students, Exploring Race in Society contains proprietary essays that provide today’s students with a deeper understanding of how current issues stem from actions and policies of the past.

      Each topic includes an overview article and three essays suggesting potential solutions. Solutions essays are written by a diverse group of writers representing the fields of academia, journalism, medicine and other disciplines working to address issues related to race.

      Topics include: Affirmative Action, Black Lives Matter Movement, Digital Divide, Food Insecurity, Police Use of Force, Wealth Gap and more.

    7. FamilySearch

      FamilySearch is a nonprofit organization and website offering genealogical records, education, and software. FamilySearch maintains a collection of records, resources, and services designed to help people learn more about their family history. Although it requires user account registration, it offers free access to its resources and service online at FamilySearch.org.

      Charlotte Mecklenburg Library is an Affiliate Library.  As an Affiliate library, Charlotte Mecklenburg Library gains additional access digital records not available outside a family history center. These digital records include images and names indexes. Currently, there are about 400 million original records available in a digital format that Affiliate libraries have access to.  To access the extra content, please visit a branch and connect to CMLibrary's wifi or use a public pc.  You will need to log into your free FamilySearch account to access FamilySearch Affiliate materials.

      Fold3™ Library Edition by Ancestry provides convenient access to US military records, including the stories, photos and documents of the men and women who served. It contains millions of records from world-class archives, many of which are exclusively available on Fold3. Fold3 is invaluable for historians, genealogists, researchers, military enthusiasts, veterans and their families, teachers and battle reenactors. The Fold3 name comes from a traditional flag folding ceremony in which the third fold is made in honor and remembrance of veterans.
