Susan Lyon is the Branch Manager at Mountain Island. She has been with Charlotte Mecklenburg Libraries since 2022 and has been working in libraries for over 20 years. She is passionate about connecting staff and customers with ways the library can help them succeed. Susan is a native Carolinian, but spent time living in Boston MA, Athens GA, and China. Laurie Halse Anderson, Jaqueline Woodson and Ann Patchett are among her favorite authors; however, she loves biographies, and a southern (especially Carolina) beach read. Susan is a musician, enjoys travelling with family and friends, and thinks no distance is too far to traverse for funky art, good music, or a delicious meal.
