Emery Ortiz has worked in public libraries for a significant amount of time and currently leads innovative projects that advance Charlotte Mecklenburg Library’s mission in new and engaging ways. Emery knows public libraries are essential community services for building opportunities, sharing knowledge, and inspiring minds. In her free time, she enjoys traveling the world and LARPing (live action role playing), cuddling with her cats, and consuming all the scary content she can find.
