David Dillard subscribes to the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library FOREWORD culture principle Love What You Do. He believes if that principle is your foundation, all the others will fall into place.  

Joining the Library in September 2018, David is a recovering handyman who, these days, spends more time road cycling then fixing things. While road cycling invigorates him, he is most passionate about spending time with his granddaughter, Charlotte.  

He lives by two mantras: do unto others as you would have them do unto you, as well as love self and love your neighbor. 

David’s love of reading was energized by devouring all four of Lou Berney’s novels after last year’s Verse & Vino. He can also be found frequently reading the Bible.
