South County Regional Library, serving southern Mecklenburg County, is the county's largest regional library. The 34,000 sq. ft. building was constructed in 1998 with funds from bonds approved by voters in 1995. Since opening, South County has become a favorite destination for all ages, serving over 450,000 visitors each year.
Upcoming Events at South County Regional
The Dogwood chapter of the Smocking Arts Guild of America exists to further the education of members related to smocking, fine hand and machine sewing, and hand embroidery. Members of the local chapter will be at South County Library working on projects to serve the community.
