Independence Regional, IB Community Room
In honor of National Novel Writing Month or NaNoWriMo, come join Louis B. Smith, a local writer, architect and conceptual thinker on a two-hour journey into story. Learn to create more complicated believable characters, clearly realized contexts for those characters and to express a sense of purpose for each. Whether you are writing about romance, adventure or personal histories this framework may help you better connect to your audience. The workshop will include free writing on each aspect. Come with your own purpose to form a one time community to help define your blossoming identity as a writer.
NaNoWriMo is a free resource that helps you track your progress, set milestones, connect with other writers in a vast community, and participate in events that are designed to make sure you finish your novel. For more writing inspiration at Independence Regional Library join us for the Adult Poetry Club on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, 11AM-12PM, and for writing feedback and critiques join us for the Independence Writers Group on the 3rd Saturday of the month, 10AM-12PM.
