Giving back through Summer Break

Each year, children participating in the Library’s Summer Break program have the chance to donate books to a community organization that serves children. Children can do this by reading for 25 hours over the course of the summer. This year, Communities in Schools was chosen to receive our donations. Thanks to our voracious readers, two Communities in Schools locations will be getting around 1,000 books each: Druid Hills Academy and Bruns Academy!

Thanks again to all who joined us this summer, and we look forward to seeing you at the Library again soon.

P.S.  If you earned any incentives during the program, you have until August 31, 2016, to collect these at library locations. If you have questions, visit our FAQ page or call or visit your nearest library branch and we'll be happy to help.
