Inspired by Memories Writing Contest Winners

South County Regional Library's Adult Writing Group recently hosted a writing contest. Inspired By Memories offered area writers the opportunity to submit entries in the areas of flash fiction, poetry, and short story or first chapter of a novel/memoir. Writers submitted 21 entries across the three categories, using personal memories as a springboard for their writing. The winner for each category won a copy of Lifelong Writing Habit: The Secret to Writing Every Day by Chris Fox. The Grand Prize winner received a 30 minute critique session with Gilda Morina Syverson, local author of My Father's Daughter: From Rome to Sicily.
