Fox Forever
Young AdultLocke Jenkins wants to get on with this life, even though that life began 260 years ago and was spent mostly in a small black box, just his disembodied mind and his thoughts. Now with a new body, Locke can start over with best friend Jenna. But first he must escape his fanatical creator, Dr. Gatsbro, with help from the Network. Such help comes with a price, or “Favor,” forcing Locke into the dangerous world of the Resistance, an underground movement to aid the disenfranchised and create a new government. Locke must decide his role in this new world, and his feelings for Raine, the daughter of an enemy of the Resistance. With danger, romance and adventure, Fox Forever is a satisfying, yet bittersweet, ending to the series.

Cohn, Rachel( 2012) Beta
Young AdultIn this unique and well-written novel, Elysia is an experimental clone known as a Beta. Teenage clones are the newest on the market and Elysia is still in the testing phase. She`s supposed to be a blank slate with no feelings meant to do as she is told. But Elysia has memories and desires and she doesn`t feel like a soulless clone. Beta is set on the paradise-like island of Demesne, where even the air has been manufactured to provide a euphoric feeling for all inhabitants and all homes are state-of-the-art. Readers will have trouble putting this book down as Elysia struggles to unravel the mystery of her origins.

Bray, Libba(2012) The Diviners
Young AdultI listened to The Diviners on audiobook and loved every minute of this suspenseful novel. Set in New York City in the roaring twenties, readers will find themselves drawn to the daring characters and their enthralling adventures. A cast of teenage characters all dreaming of making it big in New York become entwined while helping to solve a string of brutal murders related to a supernatural source. The main protagonist, Evie, begins to divine secrets that connect her to the killer and soon she realizes that she may be the only one who can stop him before he kills again. Readers who enjoy tales of the supernatural will find that The Diviners is well worth the read. I cannot wait to read the sequel!

McCafferty, Megan(2012) Bumped
Young AdultIn a future world where a virus results in infertility for all over eighteen, teens can garner contracts for conceiving children. Melody has spent years preparing to fulfill her contract. When Melody’s long-lost identical twin shows up on her doorstep, Melody’s life gets even more complicated. Harmony is from Goodside, a religious community that does not believe in the contracts for conception, and has shown up to convert Melody to her way of life. As Melody gets to know her sister, she starts to reevaluate her plans. This fast-paced YA novel features strong characters and a well-described ultramodern world in which technology has helped to allow individuals more opportunities, but also taken away their privacy. Also, check out the second book in this popular trilogy called Thumped.
