Donoghue, Emma(2010)

Jack just turned 5 years old and lives in Room with his Ma. Room has everything they need – food, Bed, books, and even a TV. Jack loves being with Ma all the time and he is never bored because they have lots of fun things to do. But, Ma wants them to escape – she was kidnapped when she was 19 and has been living in Room for seven years now. She needs Jack to be brave when they try to escape. Can Jack do his part to help them escape from Room? And if they escape will they be able to cope with the outside world? Told from Jack’s perspective, Room is an incredible story of a parent’s fierce love for their child even under the worst of conditions.
