Since their mother died, Rose Feller has looked after her slacker sister, Maggie who cannot hold a job. Rose, a shy overachiever, has little in common with Maggie, an outgoing, fashion-conscious flirt, except their love of designer shoes. Weiner interweaves the Feller family’s story set in Philadelphia, with their estranged Grandmother Ella’s set in Florida. The characters struggle with loss, estrangement, and self-discovery as they explore the meaning of family. Chick-Lit fans will enjoy this humorous, heartwarming read.
