Dune Road
Author Jane Green is considered one of the founding writers behind the genre known as “chick lit” – and, this novel is a fine example. But, it is an easy read – sprinkled with chatty girlfriends, mystery men, and the wealthy, overbearing mother character. There’s even a little crime-suspense woven in. Kit Hargrove, newly divorced and living-not-so-large as before (post economic downturn) in coastal Connecticut, becomes a research assistant for a reclusive blockbuster writer. A shady new boyfriend and a surprise visit from a younger sister she never knew she had add to the cloudiness in Kit’s world. Will Kit find love again and some direction in her life? Settle back with this bonbon of a novel and find out.
