2012 North Carolina Children's Book Award Winners

The North Carolina Children’s Book Award Program is a children’s choice program sponsored by school and public libraries in North Carolina and is designed to introduce children to current children’s literature and to instill a love of reading.

Winners

• The Book that Eats People, written by John Perry, illustrated by Mark Fearing, is the winner in the Picture Book category with 40,912 of the 118,499 votes cast.


• The Strange Case of Origami Yoda, by Tom Angleberger, is the winner in the Junior Book category with 2,305 votes of the 11,921 votes cast.
