Spring Town is having a Basketball
Weekend to raise money for a new school
playground. There will be a high
school
game on Friday night and basketball
contests for all ages Saturday morning.
Billy and
his friends enter the shoot-out
contest.
But Billy is afraid of two things:
not
making any baskets and Chad Smith's
teasing. Chad is a bully who calls
Billy names and brags about his
basketball skills. Billy feels better
after he receives advice and
encouragement from his father, his
grandfather, and Ace (a high school
friend who is playing in Friday night's
game). Will Spring Town raise enough
money? Will Ace and his teammates win
their big game? Does Billy learn to
ignore Chad and do his best? The
answers to these questions are found in
Slam Dunk Saturday.
