Category: Humor, Mystery, Winter
(This book has outstanding illustrations)

When Annie discovers that she has lost her mitten, she and her dog,Oscar, search high and low. In their travels they find Ralph's boot, Ruth's sock, and Herbie's sweater, but no mitten. As Annie searches everywhere she has been that day, she begins to wonder if a bird flew off with it to make a cozy nest or if a mouse took it to sleep in. Finally Annie gives up and heads home without having found her mitten. However, the mystery is solved after a nice cup of hot chocolate and a bit of melted snow outside. Kellogg's rich watercolor pictures help stir the imagination and bring excitement to this enchanting winter story.
