Time Stops For No Mouse: A Hermux Tantamoq Adventure
Michael Hoeye (2002) , 200+ pages
Illustrated by Michael Hoeye
Audience: Intermediate (4th-6th grade)
Category: Adventure, Fantasy, Mystery
|
When a tall gray rat with a long narrow
face calls for Ms. Perflinger's watch
without a claim check, Hermux suspects
foul play. After all, she had seemed
so insistent that his repairs be both
perfect and immediate. Then she didn't
arrive to retrieve the timepiece at
all. Thus thrown into circles of
intrigue and deceit, the shy, bow-tie
wearing mouse becomes an endearing hero
who meets every challenge with
comfortable charm. Hoeye has created a
fanciful tale of daring-do in his world
of high fashion rodents who move from
extravagant operas to jungle
exploration and espionage. An
excellent choice for fans of Jacques'
Redwall series.
