The husband and wife creators of this

fascinatingly informative biography

told from birth to his induction into
the Baseball Hall of Fame in an
easy-to-read storytelling style that
readers will
enjoy. Interesting facts like
how he got the name "Satchel" and the
special way that he pitched are
included. Also, the environment of
racism towards Paige and other Negro
League players of his time is covered
as part of U.S. baseball history.
Ransome's paintings have brilliant
colors and wonderful facial
expressions. A must-read for baseball
lovers and those who enjoy reading
biographies.
