Creating the Library of the Future Presented via Urban Libraries Council Webinar on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 What happens when a fiscal crisis reveals that the library’s value may not be fully-understood by the community, including decision-makers? In Charlotte, North Carolina, leaders formed The Future of the Library Task Force. The recommendations that flowed from their comprehensive strategic plan have ignited a remarkable transformation, both of the library and its position in the community.
