Your gift is an investment in our community`s future.
Gifts to the Library help us serve our community above and beyond what tax-based funding provides. In FY2012, fundraising efforts generated more than half a million dollars; and our goal for FY2013 is to raise that amount or more for library operations; books and materials; and programs that support literacy, educational success, and workforce preparedness.

The Charlotte Mecklenburg Library works to create a community where reading, learning, and imagination thrive. The Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Foundation exists to help provide those ongoing opportunities. Created in 2012, the Foundation supports the Library’s programs and services through advocacy, fundraising and building relationships with others who share a passion for the Library’s work. It is comprised of citizens who believe that free and open access to information can change lives for the better, and build a brighter future for our community.
