Your Gift Makes a Difference
Your gift to Charlotte Mecklenburg Library will help us serve our community above and beyond what tax-based funding provides. In Fiscal Year 2011, fundraising efforts generated more than $700,000 to help us meet our mission and serve the county.
Our goal for Fiscal Year 2012 is to raise a total of $750,000, for these three areas of need:
- $200,000 to help support library operations and basic services.
- $450,000 for the purchase of much-needed books and materials for the collection.
- $100,000 to continue providing free programs to the people in our community, with an emphasis on programs that support literacy, educational success, and workforce preparedness.
Your Investment
A recent return on investment study shows that for every dollar invested, the Library returns $4.57 in direct benefits to the community. Your gift will be felt by the people who need us most – those who turn to us each day with a with a desire to research, learn and experience. It`s a living investment in our community’s future.
Ways to Give
 
Want to make a tribute gift? Use either our online or printable donation form to make a gift in honor of a friend or loved one. You can also give to the library in your long-range estate plans.
If you`re an employee of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, you can give to the Library through CMS`s One Community One Campaign.
