Computer Access in Neighborhoods

The focus of C.A.N. is to assist students (8th-12th grade) in developing computer competency skills necessary for the NC Computer Skills Test by providing access to tutorials and computer resources. Several library branches are participating in the C.A.N. programs: The resources found at these locations through C.A.N. use the Charlotte- Mecklenburg Computer Competency Curriculum Guide. Computer Access to Neighborhoods (CAN) Partnership is a public/private venture in North Carolina's Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools to increase student achievement, engage the public, and provide families with greater access to technology within their neighborhoods.
